Double bass, cuckoo whistle

Dominique once read a book on spanish guitarists. He instantly fell in love with the thought of the thrill that playing music could bring about. Determined to find that thrill, he started to play guitar in a hard-rock band, but since this didn't even approach the feeling he sought, other musical styles started catching his interest.
He started playing bass guitar and joined the band Cleavage, doing covers of Led Zeppelin and modern poprock. Fortunately he met with a blues-rock band, Dust Explosions (“1”, 2004), in which he developed his passion for a more free and alternative approach to beat, groove and melody. Once orientated towards the swing of blues and the taste of jazz, Dominique moved on to playing bass guitar in a Dixieland band, which motivated him to start to study the double Bass.
Dixie - Jazz was nice for the time being but still did not really bring about the thrill once envisaged, and, while looking for a new challenge, traditional music came into the picture. An attempt to form a group with several musical friends resulted in a new quartet. A hint of jazz as well as bossa nova, blues and klezmer coloured the tunes and vividly stimulated the musician’s minds.
Meanwhile, Harmony Glen crossed his path and soon became his first priority as a folk-project, with many new challenges. As he never had played Irish music before, adapting to this style became a surprising adventure for Dominique, with more new discoveries ahead always. Never ignoring his own style and interpretation, Dominique certainly puts his jazzy fingerprint onto Harmony Glen.
